Hello Northpoint parents! At this point, classroom party guidelines for the 2022-2023 year are still a bit uncertain. We expect that classes will be able to have holiday parties. However, we do not know how many parents/volunteers will be allowed to attend or whether snacks will be permitted.
Given this, Northpoint room parent sign-ups will look very similar to last year. The room parent and party support roles are:
Room Parents -- This committee of two to four individuals will work together to support the teacher throughout the year. They may provide the following supports:
- Party planning -- Consult teacher on holiday party plans, work with party donation volunteers to supply any holiday craft/game supplies
- Helping during parties -- If party volunteers are limited by Unit 5, room parents will be allowed first selection of volunteer slots
- Traditional teacher gifts/recognitions -- provide teacher with gifts/surprises though out the year -- birthday, winter holiday, Teacher Appreciation Week (May) or end-of year
- Help the teacher highlight a wishlist or classroom needs for parents to fulfill
- Pick-me up surprises for the teacher -- just because
- Any other support the teacher requests
Party Donation Volunteers -- As parties approach, room parents will communicate what materials for crafts/games will be needed for each party. Signing up here indicates that you are willing to be contacted occasionally and provide class donations.
- Purchasing (or providing) supplies and games/crafts, as the teacher requests
- Supplying other materials, as needed and determined by room parents

Fall Festival- Monday, October 31, 2022, 1:15 to 2:25 p.m.
Holiday- Thursday, December 15, 2022, 1:30 to 2:25 p.m.
Valentine's Day- Tuesday, February 14, 2023, 1:30 to 2:25 p.m.
If you are interested, please sign up for an open slot via the links below. A virtual meeting will be held in early October for room parents -- to further explain the positions and answer questions. If guidelines change later in the year, we will reach out again and possibly revise the sign-ups.
