It's that time of year again!   As we all know, the 2021-2022 school year will still be a bit different than "normal" -- and so will our room parent and party system.  Given district guidelines, classes can have holiday parties this year.  However, parents/volunteers cannot attend and no food will be allowed.  If these guidelines change later in the year, Northpoint PTO will let you know as soon as possible.

For now, the Room Parent and party support roles will be:

Room Parents -- This committee of 2-4 individuals will work to together support the teacher throughout the year.  They will provide the following supports:

  • Plan parties -- Work with teachers to plan crafts/games and secure any supplies needed through volunteers
  • Collect funds and recognize teachers with class gifts/surprises -- for birthdays, winter holidays, Teacher Appreciation week, or 'just because'
  • Provide any other support they choose to the teacher

Party Donation Volunteers -- Signing up for this role indicates you are willing to be contacted by room parents regarding classroom/party needs and occasionally provide donations.

If you are interested, please sign up for an open slot below.   A virtual meeting will be held Wednesday, October 13th from 7-8pm CST to further explain the positions and answer questions.  Please sign up by Friday, October 8th to receive an invite to this meeting.

If guidelines change later in the year, we will reach out again and possibly revise the sign-ups.   Questions and suggestions can be directed to the Northpoint Room Parent Coordinators below.  Thanks again for your support.
